Workforce Focus, September 2011 - Health Care

Health care is a prominent industry in Hamilton, proportionately larger than the provincial average. Since 2005, employment in this sector has grown 12%; though in the short term, from 2009-10, there has been an 8% decline in employment in Hamilton.
Hamilton Healthy Workplaces Report

The Hamilton Healthy Workplaces initiative aimed to give employers the tools and resources to create a healthy workplace, as well as to survey their needs and perceptions. Other project partners included Trivaris, and the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce Human Resources Committee as well as funding partner, the Ontario Ministry of Health
Promotion.
